Twenty-four members and four guests full of enthusiasm met at the Clubhouse entrance on a beautiful warm and sunny Sunday.  There they received their tickets,  program, and name tags so they could proceed to the second-floor clubhouse in an area especially reserved for the Island Estates Yacht Club.

 

A delicious buffet awaited them, then at 12:30 the races began!  There were betting windows available and stadium seating reserved close by for our club.

 

The 3rd race was designated as the Island Estates Yacht Club race.  After the race, the hosts, guests, and new members went to the Winners Circle for a picture with the jockey.

After the dust settled, there were some winners and a few losers.  It is rumored that one of our newer members came home $500 richer!  In all, it was a spectacular day and everyone had a great time.
