The Island Estates Yacht Club rang in the New Year with the traditional and highly popular New Year’s Day Brunch at the beautiful Belleair Country Club in Belleair.  It had a great turnout -- forty-one members and ten guests!  It was a chance for everyone to reconnect after the holidays and to mingle with our guests.  

The new Commodore, Gene Traupman, led the Pledge of Allegiance and gave a short speech thanking those who participated in 2019 as officers, board members, event host(ess)es; and what our plan is for moving the club forward in 2020. 

Mary Reinhardt, this year's Social Committee Chairperson, gave everyone a brief description of each of the 2020 events and the month in which each would be held. 

After Commodore Gene said the invocation, it was time to sample the deliciously prepared food. As usual, Belleair Country Club did an outstanding job with the food and service.
