This IEYC event was turbulence free! Nineteen members and two guests enjoyed an afternoon of laughter and lunch at Ed Fletcher’s Early Bird Dinner Theater on Thursday, February 17, 2022. While your personal flight attendants for the afternoon Bunni and Scott Lefebvre, Ginger Newman, Marie Ross, and Irene Seiter greeted and seated the guests, the salad bar was open, and the deserts were being claimed. Special “wings” that were provided by Mary Reinhardt included one set that was specially marked for the door prize. Leo Merriam received the specially marked pair of wings and won the free ticket to a future show at the Early Bird Dinner Theater.

We welcomed new members Irene Seiter, Don Prokes, and Nancy Besley to the club, and welcomed Steve and Marti Owen, guests of Bunni and Scott Lefebvre.

Lunch was served and we enjoyed a variety of sides along with Virginia Baked Ham, Carved Top Round Roast Beef with Au Jus and Horseradish, Salmon Almondine, City Chicken, and Meatballs in Marinara Sauce. Following lunch, we enjoyed a wonderful show full of twists and turns, cheers and jeers of this romantic comedy set in Paris in the 1960’s that kept everyone on the edge of their seat until the end of the show.

 

Our two upcoming events were announced to the group. The March 12th event will be hosted by the Bickford’s in Palm Harbor. It is an Italian Themed Potluck dinner that is limited to thirty members. The next Island Girl’s lunch will take place on February 22, 2002 at The Wildflower Café in Clearwater.
