The Change of Watch, IEYC’s end-of-year gala, was held at on Sunday, December 5 at Belleair Country Club.  Thirty-two members and one guest were dressed to the nines to celebrate the installation of officers and board members. 

 

The festivities of the evening also included presenting the Members of the Year Award and the Commodore’s Special Award.  Bunni and Scott Lefebvre were recognized as Members of the Year for their contributions and dedicated efforts throughout the year.  No one was more deserving of the Commodore’s Special Award than Jim Ostrosky.  Performing many behind-the-scenes tasks throughout the year, he played an important part in keeping the club moving forward.  Patricia and Jim Ostrosky surprised Angie and Gene Traupman with a gift recognizing the time and effort they have given to the club over the past few years.

After the ceremony we were treated to a sumptuous meal prepared and served by Chef Paul Liptak and his staff.  A tasty salad was followed by beef tenderloin medallions, done perfectly; shrimp, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus.  A delectable pecan pie topped with chocolate sauce finished it off.

Marcia Coxhead did a great job putting it all together.  The Butterflies – Angie Traupman, Mary Reinhardt, and Bunni Lefebvre – were fantastic again with the table decorations, which included Byer’s Choice figurines.
