Place: Belleair Country Club

          Belleair, FL

The Blind Auction is a favorite with the membership of IEYC, and 2021 did not disappoint anyone.  We had full round tables with lots of conversation and much laughter.  Belleair Country Club served us a wonderful dinner with our choice of Salmon or Chicken and all the chef's additions in salads, sauces, vegetable and starch.  Pumpkin pie topped off our meal. Thank you, Patricia and Jim Ostrosky, for making these arrangements.

We had several guests who were as crazy as the rest of us.  One highlight was having Past Commodore Wayne and Sandy Milligan with us.

We need to give special thanks to our greeters with our name tags, Mary Reinhardt and Arnie Shal, and our hosts, Sherry and Bob Harmon and Scott and Sue Moncrieff.  Scott was had us laughing as he called out items people brought with them.  Mary even gave us a short harmonica solo!  Sherry, Bob, Sue, Angie Traupman and Jan Nagy were open to bribes as they passed out the dollars....actually hundreds!

Then the bidding began with Commodore Gene doing an amazing job as auctioneer.  All were great in making sure everyone got to take something home.  Many people got fantastic gifts.  A Tiffany blue box even contained Waterford.  The ultra large calculator made an appearance again and a COVID surprise containing toilet paper and plunger kind of had us all happy we didn't choose that one.

It was a great evening ... if you missed it this year, we hope we will see you next time.
