Eighteen members and two guests full of enthusiasm met at the Clubhouse entrance on a cool Saturday.  There they received their tickets, program, and name tags so they could proceed to the second-floor clubhouse in an area especially reserved for the Island Estates Yacht Club.

 

A delicious buffet and a raffle to aid in betting awaited them. At 12:30 the races began!  There were nearby betting windows available and stadium seating reserved for our club.

 

Much cheering for the horses and activity at the betting windows ensued.

 

After the dust settled, there were some winners and a few losers.  It is rumored that one of our members came home $700+ richer!  In all, it was a spectacular day and everyone had a great time.
