On Sunday April 16th, 27 members of the IEYC and 2 guests met at the Dunedin Golf Club to enjoy an interactive event!  The party started out with a randomly selected teams (a great mixer) who competed in 3 games.  The Putting Game was led by Don Prokes and Nancy Besley, Cornhole led by Scott Moncrieff and the Water Blaster led by Arnie Shal. Marcia Coxhead brought former member Doug Small and Irene Seiter and Marie Ross brought prospective member Judy Sullivan. We look forward to having Doug Small and Judy Sullivan join our membership.

 

There was serious competition, but the Blue Team prevailed!  Diana Woodrow and her teammates, Marie Ross, Dick Newman, Marcia Coxhead and prospective member Judy Sullivan each won a voucher for $10 for the IEYC Pig Roast on May 21st.  All 5 teams got their biggest scores on the Water Blaster.

 

Next on the agenda was an International Buffet.  USA – pulled pork sliders, Mexico – a taco bar, Argentina – chicken empanadas, United Kingdom – fish & chips, Costa Rica – fruit plate and for dessert – tiramisu from Italy.  After dinner, members and guests enjoyed much camaraderie.

 

Assisting the hosts were Harry & Carol Bickford, Scott & Sue Moncrieff, Don Prokes & Nancy Besley and our Commodore Scott & Bunni Lefebvre.   Unexpected assistance was provided by Ted O’Brien, Paul Woodrow and Leo Merriam.  Arnie & Mary knew we were members of a great club and that was really illuminated by the kindness and care we received.
