Poolside and beachfront along the Gulf of Mexico, thirty-four members and one guest enjoyed the IEYC Sunset on Sand Key 2023 potluck on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Hosted by past Commodore Vivian (2016) and Tom Smith and co-hosted by Fleet Captain and past-Commodore John (1992), Sue, and Sara Speck, everyone slowed-down and spent time catching-up. In attendance of the event were members of the club’s “25-year” club and members of the club’s “25-week” club.

After the Pledge of Allegiance and opening remarks by Commodore Lefebvre, past-Commodore Smith provided the Invocation followed by a group photo.  Members then enjoyed a smorgasbord of homemade delights while sharing stories of recent adventures and reminiscing of adventures of days gone by.

​

As the sun began to set, one member had to “duck the duck” as a Mallard came in to enjoy some time poolside.  Mother nature didn’t disappoint with her show, providing plenty of photo opportunities before settling in for the night.
